Kim admits she got "caught up in the hoopla"

Kim Kardashian has opened up on her own blog about why her 72 day marriage to Kris Humphries ended in divorce, and the reality star insists that she married for what she thought was true love, and not money.

Here is Kim’s official, and very personal, statement post to her blog:

“Everyone that knows me knows that I’m a hopeless romantic! I love with all of my heart and soul. I want a family and babies and a real life so badly that maybe I rushed in to something too soon. I believed in love and the dream of what I wanted so badly. I felt like I was on a fast roller coaster and couldn’t get off when now I know I probably should have. I got caught up with the hoopla and the filming of the TV show that when I probably should have ended my relationship, I didn’t know how to and didn’t want to disappoint a lot of people.”

Kim also blogged:

“I am trying not to read all the different media reports but it’s hard not to see all the negative ones. First and foremost, I married for love. I can’t believe I even have to defend this. I would not have spent so much time on something just for a TV show!”

The above quote is likely a subtle message to the New York Post newspaper that wrote a scathing cover story about Kardashian in yesterday’s paper, calling her wedding to Kris Humphries a “Big A$$ Scam” and claiming that Kim Kardashian is a money grubbing “shrew” who is “not capable of anything as natural as love.” I have to say, that NY Post article was extremely libelous, not backed by any real facts, and just plain cruel.

Kim Kardashian claims that she did not make all of the millions off of her wedding that the media is saying she made, and she plans on donating her wedding gifts to The Dream Foundation, a non-profit organization that the Kardashian family has been involved with for quite some time.

As for mamma bear, Kris Jenner, Kris was on a media tour for her new book yesterday, and spent much of her air time defending her daughter, Kim. Kris Jenner stated that not only did Kim not cash in on her wedding, but that she actually “spent millions of dollars of her own money” on the doomed nuptials.

Kris Jenner, when pressed on her true feelings for Kris Humphries, said, “Kris is a good guy,” and she left it at that.

As for little sister Khloe Kardashian, Khloe who is always one to speak her mind, according to Kathie Lee Gifford, was skeptical about the marriage’s chances from the get-go. Kathie Lee Gifford claims that at Kim and Kris’s wedding reception, Khloe walked by Gifford and sniffed, “I give it six effin months.” Ouch!

But, Khloe, you were actually a little too generous with those extra four months. You hopeless romantic, you!
