Apprentice Star Omarosa Manigault’s Brother Murdered By Lover’s Ex-Boyfriend
October 12, 2011 No CommentsJack Manigault, 40, brother of first season Apprentice star, Omarosa Manigault, was murdered in Youngstown, Ohio.
As reported by Reuters, “Jack Manigault was asleep in bed with his girlfriend when her ex-boyfriend, 22-year-old Marco Cardenas, forced his way into the house.”
The suspect, Marco Cardenas, allegedly committed what was clearly a crime of passion; the act of a jilted and jealous ex-boyfriend, when he put a gun to Jack Manigault’s head and pulled the trigger. According to Youngstown, Ohio police, Cardenas went past two juveniles who were in the home and entered the bedroom, where several shots were fired. Jack Manigault then ran from the room and collapsed from a gunshot wound to his head.
Marco Cardenas, who has still not been found guilty in court, was arrested and arraigned on Tuesday, October 11, 2011, on charges of murder, felonious assault and aggravated burglary. Cardenas has entered a plea of not-guilty and was being held on a $5 million bond.
Omarosa’s brother, Jack Manigault, did have a few scrapes with the law, himself, having been convicted on drugs and weapons charges back in 2003. But the family asserts that he had straightened his life out in recent years, and was on the right track.
Omarosa Manigault and her family issued a statement to the press, stating, “My brother was so special to us! We loved him unconditionally, and we were so proud of him when he turned his life around and gave his life to God two years ago.
Manigault went on to state, “We thank everyone for their amazing outpouring of support surrounding the tragic death of my brother Jack. Right now it is an extremely difficult time and we ask that you allow [the] family privacy to grieve and make all necessary arrangements.”
