Jon Voight Wants to Visit Israel with Daughter Angelina Jolie Before He Dies

A trip to Israel with Angie is on Jon's bucket list

After a decade-long father-daughter feud that began with a 2002 declaration by actor Jon Voight that his daughter Angelina Jolie had emotional problems, along with Voight’s loose lips in announcing Angie’s adoption of her first child, Maddox, Angelina Jolie and her father Jon Voight are officially father and daughter once again.

After years of nudging from Angelina Jolie’s significant other, Brad Pitt, Angelina allowed her dad, Jon Voight, to spend some time with her and her six kids when she was in Europe last year filming The Tourist. Voight and Jolie (she dropped her birth name ‘voight’ when the two fell out) spent time together touring around Venice and Paris with Pitt and the Jolie-Pitt children.

Well, Jon Voight instantly fell head over heels in love with his brood of grandchildren, and Voight has worked diligently since then to re-build relations with Jolie.

Now Jon Voight seems to finally feel safe speaking out about the painful estrangement he had with his iconic daughter and his elation to be back in her life, and in the lives of his beloved grandchildren. On the sensitive topic, Voight had this to say, “Being reunited with my Angie is very precious to me.” Jon Voight also stated that he adores his grandchildren,saying, “they are my great love. It makes me so emotional and grateful.”

Jon Voight, insinuating that it was he who ultimately made the decision to reconnect, told London’s Daily Mail, “I suddenly saw things differently and everything shifted. That one moment changed my whole life. It gave me back my daughter and my family.”

An outspoken Republican and staunch supporter of Israel, Voight voiced a longheld dream of visiting the middle eastern country with Angie in tow. As reported in the Huffington Post, “[Jon Voight] expressed that he hoped Jolie would travel with him to the country, saying ‘That would be a nice thing before I go.’”
