Lindsay Lohan Spends 25th Birthday in LA with Dad Michael?

Lindsay and Michael Lohan, Reunited?

Is it just me, or is it completely confusing to determine what the real relationship is between embattled actress Lindsay Lohan and her estranged/not-estranged, father, Michael Lohan. Lohan, who himself, has battled demons and some serious addiction issues is currently appearing in the VH1 docu-series Celebrity Rehab, and it is often hard to tell if he is sober or not. Michael Lohan seemed to be on the right track as he publically pleaded with Lindsay last year to get help. Now the elder Lohan was seeking rehab treatment from Dr. Drew Pinsky at The Pasadena Recovery Center. Meanwhile, Lindsay Lohan was recently taken off of hourse arrest and is now fullfilling her community service obligations.

Michael Lohan told the New York Daily News that for her 25th birthday, “[Lindsay] opted to stay in California instead of coming to New York because she has community service and wanted to concentrate on that.”

Michael Lohan also commented that his daugher Lindsay spent her 25th birthday with “family.” Would he be included in that equation? One moment Michael Lohan is engaging in a television PR campaign to tell every reporter who will speak to him that his daugher has serious problems, and Lindsay is Tweeting that she and her father “do not have a relationship.” Next, they are confiding in one another and spending quality time together. What’s the real story with these two?

Sounding very paternal, Michael Lohan continued to the NY Daily News, “She’s doing really, really, really well… We’re taking it moment by moment… It’s just nice that she’s off her home arrest and has the opportunity to pursue her career finally.”

Lindsay Lohan added that “Nothing exciting happened,” when questioned about the activity surrounding her 25th birthday celebration after pictures surfaced of Lindsay looking a bit out of it. Then again, a million camera flashes pointed at you from paparazzi can make anyone look stoned and like a deer in the headlights.

Personally, I would love to see Lindsay Lohan back up on the big screen. She is a talented and capabable actress. I would also like to see her relationships with both her mother, Dina Lohan, and her father, Michael Lohan, sorted out once and for all, and emotionally stable.
