Obama on Ignoring GOP Candidates: “I’m Going to Wait Until Everyone is Voted Off The Island”
October 26, 2011 No CommentsDuring President Obama’s latest appearance on Jay Leno’s couch on The Tonight Show, the President joked about everything from the Kardashian family and reality TV to his rabid GOP opponents for the upcoming 2012 presidential election.
Obama was on point as he continued to bring everything back to a reality TV reference, including how he deals with attacks from the Republican party and his disgust with congress.
In explaining why is in not too enthusiastic about letting daughters Malia and Sasha watch E!’s Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Obama admitted that he has never actually watched an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, saying: “I am probably a little biased against reality TV, partly because there is this program on C-Span called Congress…” The President then went on to diffuse his harsh criticism with a laugh.
President Obama turned to Jay Leno and asked, facetiously, “Do you recommend [the show], Jay?” The President went on to concede that both of his girls, Malia and Sasha, have seen Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
In line with the theme of reality television, when Jay Leno asked President Obama if he is following the GOP republican debates, the President quipped, “I’m going to wait until everybody’s voted off the island.”
