Michele Bachmann Ambushed at South Carolina Book Signing By Young Gay Activist
December 6, 2011 No Comments2012 GOP Presidential hopeful Michele Bachmann thought she would breeze through a photo op with a young boy at one of her recent book signings for her recently released memoir, Core of Conviction: My Story. Think again! Michele Bachmann made a stop along her book’s promotional tour in South Carolina where she was confronted with a little boy named Elijah and his gay mom. The young boy approached Michele Bachmann with his mother, feining fan status and posing for a picture with Bachmann. Michele Bachmann shook Elijah’s hand as his mother looked on, but before walking away, the boy whispered something into Bachmann’s ear, and it definitely ruffled the feathers of the Tea Party’s sweetheart.
Michele Bachmann sweetly told the boy that she couldn’t hear what he had whispered, to which is mother said, “It’s ok, you can say it louder.” Prompted by his mother, the boy whispered in Bachmann’s ear, “Ms. Bachmann, my mother is gay and doesn’t need fixing.” At that point a stunned Bachmann fixed her eyes on the boy’s mother and gave a dismissive, “buh-bye” to the offending child, waving him off while attempting to hold in place a frozen smile for the cameras.
A must see!
