ahhhh.... Classic Pacino

Universal Pictures just had a reunion event for their classic Brian De Palma epic film, Scarface, a movie that most of us watched ad nauseum from college dorm rooms at one time or another. Now Scarface is available on Blu Ray disc and Universal Studios celebrated the re-release of Scarface with a reunion event for the film’s stars and filmmakers.

Here is the announcement they put out to the media:

“Say hello to one of the greatest gangster movies ever made on August 23, 2011 when Universal Studios Home Entertainment reunites the cast and filmmakers of the iconic underworld epic, Scarface.

Guests are invited to an exclusive event to re-experience the explosive power of acclaimed director Brian De Palma’s legendary story of raw ambition. The evening will commence with a special Q & A presentation featuring the film’s stars and creators, and will include a special musical performance by recording artist Ludacris.

Stars Al Pacino, Steven Bauer, Robert Loggia, F. Murray Abraham and producer Martin Bregman come together again to celebrate the legacy of the film that redefined the gangster genre forever and became a cultural touchstone for an entire generation. The event coincides with the first-time launch of Scarface on Blu-rayTM on September 6, 2011.”

“Event will also feature Cuban-inspired cuisine prepared by celebrity chefs Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger, co-chef/owners of the popular, critically acclaimed Border Grill restaurants and Truck.
