Congratulations to Giuliana and Bill Rancic on the Birth of their Son, Edward Duke Rancic

After a public emotional journey mired by  miscarriages, multiple  rounds of in vitro fertilization, and a very public and heartbreaking battle with breast cancer, Giuliana Rancic has finally made her baby dreams come true and we are so happy for her! Giuliana and Bill Rancic’s son was born last night, August 29, 2012, in Denver, Colorado via a gestational carrier. Giuliana and Bill were in the delivery room to watch their bundle of joy enter the world.

Little Edward Duke Rancic was born Wednesday evening weighing in at just over 7lbs., making the Rancic’s first time parents and completing their arduous journey towards parenthood.

Giuliana Rancic released the following statement to E! News:

“Bill and I are blessed beyond words to welcome Edward into our lives. Thank you so much to everyone who supported us along the way. We are so in love with the little guy already!”

As for Bill Rancic, he took to Twitter to announce his joy, tweeting:

“”The ‘Duke’ has landed! Edward Duke Rancic was welcomed into the world last night at 7lbs 4oz. G & I feel blessed beyond words…We did it!” Bill Rancic cut the baby’s umbilical cord and teh couple announced that their surrogate had a fairly easy and uneventful four hour labor.

According to E! News, everyone is happy, healthy, and resting comfortably.
