Megan Fox Compares Michael Bay to Hitler & Gets Fired from Transformers Franchise
June 20, 2011 2 CommentsIt looks like Megan Fox’s continuous acid-tongued comments to the media actually bit her in the a*s as Transformers director Michael Bay finally reveals the true reason behind his decision to replace Fox with model, Rosie Alice Huntington-Whiteley.
CBS reports, “In an interview with The Daily Mail in London, Bay broke his silence on the matter and admitted that Fox was dropped from the [Transformers] franchise after her 2009 interview with Wonderland magazine.”
Megan Fox commented to Wonderland Magazine, “[Michael Bay] is like Napoleon and he wants to create this insane, infamous mad-man reputation. He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he’s a nightmare to work for but when you get him away from set, and he’s not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he’s so awkward, so hopelessly awkward. He has no social skills at all. And it’s endearing to watch him.”
It could be Megan Fox’s immaturety, her lack of formal education (and perhaps Jewish friends?), or maybe she just never got a handle on the avalanche of fame that came rushing her way after the release of the original Transformers movie in 2007. Either way, executive producer Steven Speilberg was not charmed by Megan Fox’s off-the-cuff Hitler remark, and told Bay to fire the young actress. According to Michael Bay, “You know the Hitler thing? Steven (Spielberg) said, ‘fire her right now.’”
Megan Fox’s side of this story, according her to PR rep, was that it was Fox’s decision to jump ship, though that doesn’t sound too plausible since the Transformers franchise was Megan Fox’s main claim to fame, and the first two Transformers movies were her two most commerically successful projects to date, by far.
Pehaps Megan Fox learned a very important public relations lesson out of all of this – never discuss religion or politics to the press in the early stages of your acting career, especially when it involves comparing your boss to Hitler.
When asked about his take on the Megan Fox debacle, the franchise’s star, Shia LaBeouf, commented to GQ Magazine, “She started sh– talking our captain. Which you can’t do.”
